Live Music tonight with Sunjay Brayne, winner of the 'Wath Festival Young Performers Award' & nominee for 'BBC2's Young Folk Award', Sunjay is establishing himself quickly in the limelight. Constantly on tour, he is getting rave reviews including the comment from legendary Vin Garbutt -'He's a wizard on guitar, I think I'd call it Jazz-Folk'. Influenced by the Blues, but drawing heavily from the genres of Folk, Country & Rock, Sunjay is a real talent. At the great age of 21, he is perhaps the last of the 1960's style guitar players and deserves the many accolades from the Music Press through his sheer hard work in live entertainment, touring throughout the UK. Truly gifted, promises to be another great night!

|Saturday 21st October - Live music tonight with 'Wildwood Jack', second time at 'The Bull'.
Wildwood Jack are a unique acoustic guitar and ukulele duo from Kent in the UK. Their melodic songs blend the acoustic guitar and ukulele with outstanding fingerstyle playing drawing influences from folk, country and world music. They embrace the troubadour lifestyle and spend large parts of the year touring across the UK, Europe and New Zealand. 'Wildwood Jack' is their name for the independent spirit of music that knows no boundaries. Their wide repertoire draws from an eclectic songbook as well as instrumentals and heartwarming original songs. Wildwood Jack are Adam Piggott and Jayne Freeman, brought together by a love of music when they first met in 1991 at Hull University and travelling on musical journeys ever since.
Settling in Hastings in East Sussex in 2002 they played in various musical projects from samba bands, ukulele sextets and a cabaret trio all the while gathering and writing songs with music taking them further and further afield. From these travels and adventures they longed to hit the road full time and in June 2013 they sold up and began an inspirational journey thats taken them all over the UK, Europe and New Zealand. Playing at acoustic clubs, cafes, bars, house concerts and festivals and even busking brings new people to their music.
Adam says "Everything we do is about maximising the sound and capabilities of the acoustic guitar and ukulele together when we play live. Our style has evolved from playing and experimenting over the years with a lot of influence from folk, country, blues and jazz".
|Saturday 28th October - Live Music with Ian Parker.
Another great night at ‘The Bull’ and a unique opportunity to see 'Ian Parker' performing one of his great solo gigs!! A songwriter genuinely literate, sometimes almost literary, Ian is an original craftsman, expressed through a distinctive bitter-sweet vocal delivery, and a distinctly expressive guitar-style, Ian's songs hold nothing back. This perhaps explains his growing popularity in 'The Blues World' but the truth is he isn't a blues artist, Roots music continues to form the foundation of his sound but there are no boundaries in place in his artistic journey, and the interest lies firmly in entertaining everyone present, not just the guitar fans. The great bluesy licks are still there, but the emphasis is firmly on the songs. We are delighted to welcome him back, Enjoy!! Check out www.ianparkermusic.com
