Self- Catering Accommodation- Awarded 3 Stars by Visit Britain

 

There are seven self-catering cottages / apartments within the grounds, all equipped and furnished to a very high standard, both double glazed and centrally heated throughout, with colour TV’s.  Power, bed linen and towels are included in our tariffs, and cots and high chairs are available at no extra cost. Self-catering accommodation is let on a weekly basis (Saturday to Saturday) from July to September, and a minimum of three nights outside that time. There is ample parking available and none of the cottages are more than a very short walk to the Inn and Restaurant. On the nights that you may decide that you don’t want to cook, or you want to relax after dinner with a relaxing drink and meet the other guests and our regular locals, just amble over, forget about the car.

 

Apple Tree View – A first floor apartment comprising a tastefully furnished lounge/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, one single room en-suite, and one large family room en-suite.

 

 

Stable Mews – Ideal self-catering apartment for those with disabilities and/or require ground floor accommodation with ramped access. Comprises a lounge/dining room with stone feature wall, fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, en-suite shower room with the benefit of grab rails and wide doors.

 

 

Baxter’s View – A First floor self-contained apartment with fabulous views over the Severn valley & Clee Hills. sleeps two, (double bed) separate kitchen and shower room.

 

 

Fishermen’s Rest – A large tastefully furnished ground floor 3 bedroom self-catering apartment in a quiet location with ramped access, easy parking, sleeping a maximum of 9. There is a spacious lounge/dining area, fully equipped kitchen with built in washer/dryer, one double en-suite master bedroom, one family room (one double & one single bed) and one twin bedded room. There is also an additional shower/wash room and a bed-settee in the lounge if required.

 

 

Horns Cottage & Tail End Cottage

 

Horns Cottage – sleeps 3 with the flexibility to sleep a further 4 people by using the adjoining family room. Downstairs is the lounge/dining area featuring stone walls and fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs the cottage offers 1 double room with built in wardrobe, separate bathroom, 1 single room with access through to the family room containing 1 double bed and 2 single beds, with en-suite facilities.

 

Tail End Cottage - sleeps seven adults. Downstairs consists of an entrance hall leading to the lounge with stone feature walls, adjoining dining area and fully equipped kitchen. Off the entrance hall is a downstairs toilet and washroom. Upstairs consists of 1 double and 2 twin bedrooms, and a small single room. Separate bathroom with bath and shower over.

 

 

Garden End – A cosy yet spacious ground floor self-contained apartment with garden views, ramped access, sleeping a maximum of 5. Tastefully furnished lounge/dining area, kitchen, en-suite family bedroom (one double & one single bed) and additional bed-settee if required.

Disabled Facilities

 

“The Wheelchair User’s Guide to Accessible Tourist Attractions for Shropshire” made an independent assessment of the facilities, and reported as follows:

 

“This offers one attractive self-catering cottage and two comfortable bed and breakfast rooms set in the grounds of a village Inn in the peaceful Shropshire countryside. All three have ramped access and level pathways from the car park. The self-catering cottage has a lounge with wheelchair turning space and a compact kitchen. The double bedroom has right hand transfer to the bed and sufficient underneath clearance for a portable hoist. The en-suite wheel-in shower room allows side transfer to the toilet. This could be suitable for an accompanied wheelchair user.

The twin bed and breakfast room has both right and left hand transfer to the divan beds. It has an en-suite wheel-in shower room with room to side transfer to the shower chair and toilet. This could be suitable for accompanied and unaccompanied wheelchair users.

The double bed and breakfast room has right hand transfer to the bed with sufficient underneath clearance for a portable hoist. It has a compact en-suite wheel-in shower room with turning space in the shower area that allows side transfer to the toilet. Self-propelled wheelchair users might need to remove their footrests to access the en-suite facilities. This could be suitable for accompanied wheelchair users,

Breakfast is served in the pleasant conservatory in the Inn where guests can enjoy homemade lunches and evening meals. “
