Activities
For those of our guests who still have plenty of energy, there are a host of activities in the area to enjoy to help you to burn off those extra calories you may have gained whilst enjoying our fabulous food, wine, and ales.
FISHING We have guests who return every year to fish the famous ‘Barbel Alley’ between Bridgnorth & Bewdley, arguably the best Barbel fishing water in the UK. There are also many well-stocked lakes and pools within a short distance of Chelmarsh, for which we can provide details, and we also have a secure store for tackle and equipment, and refrigerators for bait. The Fisherman’s stories in the Bar at night over a few pints of real ale and a great meal are legendary!
We sell day tickets on behalf of Birmingham Angling Association, who control large sections of fishing rights on the River Severn between Bridgnorth and Bewdley, and can provide details of the many fishing lakes in the area which are a short drive from Chelmarsh.
